Phishing is an attempt to scam you (the user) with an email, trying to obtain private information such as passwords, creditcard numbers, bank account information or login details.
In these emails often a link is given with an invite to click the link , in order to visit a website.
However these links are false and will show you an exact copy of the original website.
Often Clients from Banks, Paypal, Skype, Credit Card Companies, eBay or Trade Me are receiving such emails. It's the "hottest, and most troubling, new scam on the Internet."
Delete these emails directly and in doubt contact the company in question by phone.
